November 2023 see’s the launch of our new Dermalux LED Light Lounge at Aquavie. We are the first and only spa or beauty establishment to offer Dermalux Medical Light Therapy in Tonbridge.

LED Light therapy technology has advanced considerably since we first introduced this treatment to the spa in 2011. With a vast array of clinical studies now showing the impressive results treatments can bring in relation to skin and overall wellness. Our new Dermalux Compact Lite Machine is the newest medically graded LED Light Therapy Machine to be launched by Dermalux and is five times stronger than our Dermalux MD FLEX Machine.

How does LED work?

Our skin has the ability to absorb light energy and use it to stimulate or regulate essential cell processes. LED Phototherapy is the application of beneficial wavelengths (blue, red, infared and Triwave) from the visible and infrared part of the light spectrum which have proven skin enhancing benefits. Skin cells that are energised function better and can renew up to 200% faster accelerating regeneration and repair.

Dermalux Blue 415nm

Blemish fighting blue light destroys the bacteria which causes spots, breakouts and acne and improves skin clarity without irritation. It is effective at reducing sebum levels in the skin and also has a calming effect for problem skin conditions.

A recent clinical study has also shown blue light increases the levels of serotonin in the body (the happy hormone).

Dermalux Red 633nm

Rejuvenating Red light energises cells to accelerate renewal, boost collagen and elastin production and increase hydration for smoother firmer skin. Ideal for restoring vitality and glow. LED technology has been shown to increase hydration by up to 600%.
